About the conference

Music has long been recognised as a powerful medium influencing human emotions, physiology and cognition. Scientific evidence suggests that music can affect brain activity, hormonal balance, stress levels, immune response and overall well-being.

The conference “Music as Medicine” aims to create a platform where musicians, researchers, academicians and healthcare professionals come together to explore the therapeutic potential of music.

The conference encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary participation, inviting scholars from diverse fields such as music, biomusicology, biology, psychology, physics, education, medical sciences, yoga, neuroscience, engineering, social sciences, arts and humanities to connect their research with the therapeutic and scientific dimensions of music.
